A Burial Service
Generally a family will choose a burial service for religious or traditional reasons. They may like to visit the grave which generally differs from Cremations, where the ashes may be scattered somewhere else or taken home in an urn. You also have the option of interring the ashes into a memorial position (such as a rose garden or wall niche), within a cemetery.
Some people have family plots that may have been purchased many years ago and therefore there is already a place for them there, or you may need to purchase a new burial plot, and we can certainly arrange for the purchase of a new grave for your loved one.
There are many types of graves and this is something that you will need to decide upon before the funeral. Different cultures have specific types of graves that are traditionally being used. Our experienced funeral arrangers can guide you through the choices available when it comes to choosing a grave, as it can be a bit overwhelming for families. You don’t need to decide immediately what type of grave you would like, but during the appointment with your arranger, they will give you all of the options and prices and from there you can make your choice.
Melbourne’s Cheapest Funerals have developed burial packages for some of the cemeteries that we often conduct funerals within, however we service all cemeteries, so if you would like a price on a particular cemetery that you don’t see listed on this page, please call us on PH: 9308 2555 and our funeral arrangers can assist you with a quote.
